Spring 2009 Registration
Registration for the upcoming spring season is now available. Forms were sent home to all of the Elementary students. You can also go to the "sign-up" section of the web-site and print off your own form if needed.
On-line registration will be available starting on January 1st.
For those interested in registering in person, forms will be available at the open gym at the Ephrata Mennonite School on Wednesdays in January from 6:00-7:30 PM.
The deadline to register for the spring season is January 31st.
2009 WINTER INDOOR SKILL
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Starts Tuesday, January 6th at 6:00 PM

The program will run from 6-7 PM. Please plan to meet at the High School gym. All players need to wear shinguards covered by socks and wear either flats or sneakers. No turf shoes or cleats are allowed.
Additional dates are January 13th and 20th and February 10th and 17th.
The EYSC will be sponsoring an indoor skill development program. This will be the program’s 4th year. The program is designed for the U-10 to U-12 player. A limited number of spaces are available. Once the classes are filled, players will be placed on a waiting list. The indoor program will be taught by John Shetromph, EYSC Director of Coaching and Player Development.
The sessions will begin on Jan 6, 2009. The dates are 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 2/10, and 2/17. Two classes will be available with each class running for one hour and each class size will be limited. The sessions will take place at the Ephrata High School. The sessions will emphasize individual skill work and small sided games. The program is designed to refine learned skills, learn new skills, and provide an environment which challenges the player.
Players are required to wear skin guards and flats (no cleats). The indoor sessions will cost $65 with checks payable to EYSC- Indoor Program.

Open Gym Wednesdays
Starting Wednesday, January 7th
Again this year, EYSC will be offering an open gym on Wednesday nights. It will be held at the Ephrata Mennonite School from 6:00 to 7:30. After the holidays it will be every Wednesday in January and February. Players of all ages are welcome to attend. The first 15 to 20 minutes will focus on a short training time with some small drills and then we will move on to small games. Players must wear shin guards and flat sneakers. No cleats of any kind are allowed. Also, the only drink allowed is water. Please donot bring any flavored
drinks. All parents will need to come inside for drop off and pick up to sign
their child in or out. There is an area for parents to watch and observe.
Shoe Exchange Program:
Starting immediately, EYSC will be offering a "Shoe Exchange" program. Because younger kids grow so quickly between seasons we are offering a way for parents to turn in their unneeded cleats at the end of the season and have one available at the beginning of the next. Depending on how this goes, we will consider doing something similar with shin guards.
