Millersville Men's Soccer

 The Millersville men's soccer team, led by the reigning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Coach of the Year Steve Widdowson, announced three featured promotions for the 2008 schedule Thursday. The promotions include tributes to youth soccer players, Millersville alumni as well as the team's senior class.

The Sept. 6 contest between the Marauders and Molloy at 7:30 p.m. will be Youth Soccer Night. Millersville is encouraging youth players and entire teams to come to the contest wearing their club uniforms. Prior to the game, each team in attendance will be announced on the field. Other activities include halftime and postgame competitions.

The men's soccer team will also be hosting its annual Alumni Day on Sept. 13. Prior to the regularly schedule game against conference foe Shippensburg, Millersville alumni will compete against each other in an alumni game. The final special event of the season will take place during the regular season finale against Bloomsburg on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 8:30 p.m. Not only will this game serve as the team's annual Senior Day, it will also be a culmination to the Millersville Homecoming Weekend.

In 2007, the Marauders posted an 11-8-1 overall record and a 10-5-1 PSAC record to reach the conference playoffs. Along with Widdowson being named coach of the year, forward Sean McLaughlin (Holland/Council Rock South) was named All-PSAC First Team.
